Eclipse Trailer

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

YAY!!!!! The new full length Eclipse trail was released this morning!!!!! My excitement has been rejuvenated after seeing this clip. It's posted on the Official New Moon Widget above. I hope everyone is as excited as I am for spring break, if your already on break then good for you. I have good news to all; the fifth Blue Bloods book Misguided Angle is on it's way- October 5, 2010 is the official release date, plus, I finished The Van Allen Legacy! (I still have to put up the summary on Revelations so be patient!) So, be on the look out for anything pertaining to Blue Bloods/ Eclipse. I've attached a few links bellow and if you like them or think you might like them, click on them. I get no money for it so feel free to click. Ok, I'm signing off now..... Lell

p.s. I can't believe Summit Entertainment replaced Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) with Bryce Dallas Howard, although I am impressed on how close they made the new Victoria look like the old one. It's like spooky good! And thanks to http://www.daemonsmovies.com for the comparison picture of Rachelle and Bryce, and to http://eclipsemovie.org for the other picture of the two Victorias from the films. Can you tell which Victoria is which?

Masquerade Summary Part 2

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Most of you are aware that Jimmy Falon is a great talk show host for MSNBC and does a spoof of Robert Pattinson called Bothered. Here's the link to his newest video. Robert is Bothered by Valentine's Day- http://robertisbothered.com . And now back to my summary of Masquerade by Melissa De La Cruz.
We left off with Schuyler and her dilemma of having Oliver as her familiar or not. She does. He becomes attached to her and now she's thinking she made a mistake. Schuyler becomes more involved with Jack which is really bugging Mimi. (Jack's immortal bonding partner; born as twins in this cycle.) She starts to get involved with the dark matter and summons a Silver Blood to take Schuyler. It fails and attacks Bliss and a few other Blue Bloods in the Repository. Mimi was found guilty for conjuring up the Silver Blood and gets sentenced to being burned with back fire- the only thing that can actually 'Kill' a Blue Blood.

Since Schyuler is the daughter if Allegra Van Allen (aka Archangel Gabriel) she should be able to do the blood trial and prove if Mimi is guilty or innocent. (The blood trial is where Allegra- in this case Schulyer- would drink the blood of the accused- Mimi Force- to find out the truth of the situation.) Schuyler goes to Italy with Lawerence (her grandfather) to do the blood trial and she turns out to prove Mimi innocent and that Kingsly was the one to actually summon the Silver Blood. Mimi had fainted from the incident and was unable to complete the ritual. We later find out that Kingsley is a reformed Silver Blood and was only acting on orders from the Regis (which is the leader of the Conclave- Charles Force.)

And that's it for Masquerade! Hope you enjoyed my summary even though it was quite bland. Sorry it took so long this time but I've been very distracted. --Lell

Masquerade Summary Part I

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Listening to Into the Ocean by Blue October..... wait, it's The Great Escape now, by Boys Like Girls.
My school's full orchestra (The Cinco Symphony) has been named 2010 Texas Music Educator's Association Honor Full Orchestra (T.M.E.A. for short)! This is a big event for us. It means that we are the BEST OF THE BEST full orchestra out of all of Texas. This is even bigger than the time our symphony visited Chicago for the Midwest Clinic last year. Also, my pre-AP English teacher told our class about this website called Shelfari. It's like the 'Facebook' of avid readers. I have my Shelfari bookshelf on My Vampire Venom now; just before the quotes.

To get to my main point now- VAMPIRES! I finished Masquerade by Melissa De La Cruz last week and I'm ready to write my summary! ***SPOILER ALERT***

We left off in Venice, Italy, where Schuyler and Oliver are on the hunt for Lawrence Van Allen; Schuyler's grandfather. They eventually find him and convince him to help in the search for the Silver Bloods- Croatan. In the mean while between school and life, Schuyler is going to meetings about the 400 Ball (the induction ceremony for Blue Bloods, no humans aloud!) and Mimi Force (the antagonist) is planning the after party. A masquerade ball! Schuyler steals a secret kiss from who know which boy in her love triangle at the party and quickly returns home. Dylan starts acting up and suspicions arise as to if he's a Silver Blood or not. He ends up disappearing.

Bliss (Mimi's right hand girl, and Schuyler's new found friend) a Blue Blood from Texas, is experiencing difficulties in her transformation. Her Black outs are getting worse; on one occasion she ends up on the bottom of a lake and a mysterious new Blue Blood boy saves her. Is he Dylan? Anyone? Well we're getting there. He ends up to be Kingsly Martin, a reformed Silver Boll and venator (truth seeker in Italian). Mimi is taking an interest in dark matter and spells, with Kingsly as her guide, and Schuyler taking an interest in Jack Force, Mimi's human 'twin' and immortal bond partner. Mimi doesn't like this.

Schuyler goes into hibernation, not good, and Oliver takes her to Dr. Pat, the Blue Blood specialist (and his aunt), and she says that Schuyler's human bloods cells were being taking over by the Blue Blood cells and that she should take a human familiar soon. (A human familiar is the human a Blue Blood chooses as their main source to suck the blood out of; she picks Ollie.) The only problem, she thinks, is that her relationship with him will be ruined because preforming the 'Sacred Kiss' (the sucking of blood) makes a deep connection between vamp. and human familiar.

More next time; I'll keep you in suspence! --- Lell

Blue Bloods (and sorry)

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Let me start out by saying I'm so very sorry for skipping out on the posts the last two months! I've been very busy (as most of you are) due to school, church, and home activities. (I'll be moving soon; just around the corner from where we're renting now). I'm glad for your patience! I've got a good review on a relatively new series by Melissa De La Cruz, an award winning author, called Blue Bloods. ***SPOILER ALERT*** I've attached a link bellow for more information on Melissa's books, awards, and facts about her.

Basically this is another vampire book, but just like every other one you wonder across, this one has it's own little twists. These vampires are 'born' as vampires but do not discover it until they are about 15 or 16 years old. They go through cycles of life when ever they are needed; only 400 of them 'live' at once.

So Schuyler (pronounced sky-ler) is one of the main characters. She's discovering her awesome vampire powers as well as her true ancestry. When a Blue Blood from her high school shows up dead , which can never happen to one of them, Schuyler turns to her grand mother Cordelia for advice. She later finds out that there is a fallen hybrid race of vampires called Silver Bloods. Because they feast on the Blue Bloods, they are cursed forever with insanity. (Blue Bloods are one being, with the memories of their past lives, because the Silver Bloods consume them, they live as many people all at one time.) Croatan; abomination. This is the name given to the leader.

Cordelia is the only survivor (Blue Blood) of Plymouth and the colony Roanoke. She knows the truth because of her memories of her past life. Now Schuyler is the only person (with Oliver, her best friend) who can seek out the truth that no one else will believe. That Croatan exists.

Of course (and this should go with out saying) that all my reviews are in depth BUT I do leave out details because I want my readers to enjoy the book themselves. Thank you for your patience. --- Lell

Motives of Madness

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I was just having a chat with my father and he was asking me why I would rather read about vampires instead of Frankenstein or other mythological creatures. To tell you the truth, I get scared easily and thought in the beginning that Twilight would scare my socks off. I just walked out on him when he asked that ridiculous question.

I figured that those of you who are insane enough to follow my blog deserve to know my motives behind my Twilight obsession. My mother was the first to fall under Stephenie Meyer's spell. We were moving to Texas from Florida (a few months after Breaking Dawn came out) and she was almost through with Twilight. I almost hated the whole phenomenon when I first heard about it. Hard to believe right? I can't explain why; my story is that I didn't want to be part of the hoopla. You know? I didn't want to be like everyone else.

That winter, 2008, my aunt came down for the holidays and as a treat, we went to the movies. Not to my surprise we bought tickets for the matinee showing of Twilight. I was immediately hooked.

The following summer, 2009, I was planning a trip to Greece. I always do my best when procrastinating. So two weeks before my trip I started the series. I was up till 3:00 am almost every night finishing page after chapter after book. I was non stop, lost almost ten lbs. and I basically fell off the face of the Earth. And I give thanks to Stephenie for driving me into Cullen insanity. (p.s. Thant's a good thing!)

My birthday was on the 29th! Just thought I'd mention that. And that was the same day (night actually, 10:56pm) I finished the last book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. The Last Olympian is the title if you're interested. There is a movie comming out on the first book in Riordan's series, The Lightning Thief. I've attached the link to his website bellow as well as a picture of what I think is the best poster of Bella and Edward from this whole year. It's from Twist Magazine (but I took a picture of it with my camera since I couldn't find it online).

Ok, I'm signing off now! Happy New Year's Eve. -- Lell
