Motives of Madness

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I was just having a chat with my father and he was asking me why I would rather read about vampires instead of Frankenstein or other mythological creatures. To tell you the truth, I get scared easily and thought in the beginning that Twilight would scare my socks off. I just walked out on him when he asked that ridiculous question.

I figured that those of you who are insane enough to follow my blog deserve to know my motives behind my Twilight obsession. My mother was the first to fall under Stephenie Meyer's spell. We were moving to Texas from Florida (a few months after Breaking Dawn came out) and she was almost through with Twilight. I almost hated the whole phenomenon when I first heard about it. Hard to believe right? I can't explain why; my story is that I didn't want to be part of the hoopla. You know? I didn't want to be like everyone else.

That winter, 2008, my aunt came down for the holidays and as a treat, we went to the movies. Not to my surprise we bought tickets for the matinee showing of Twilight. I was immediately hooked.

The following summer, 2009, I was planning a trip to Greece. I always do my best when procrastinating. So two weeks before my trip I started the series. I was up till 3:00 am almost every night finishing page after chapter after book. I was non stop, lost almost ten lbs. and I basically fell off the face of the Earth. And I give thanks to Stephenie for driving me into Cullen insanity. (p.s. Thant's a good thing!)

My birthday was on the 29th! Just thought I'd mention that. And that was the same day (night actually, 10:56pm) I finished the last book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan. The Last Olympian is the title if you're interested. There is a movie comming out on the first book in Riordan's series, The Lightning Thief. I've attached the link to his website bellow as well as a picture of what I think is the best poster of Bella and Edward from this whole year. It's from Twist Magazine (but I took a picture of it with my camera since I couldn't find it online).

Ok, I'm signing off now! Happy New Year's Eve. -- Lell

Happy Birthday! (s)

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Today is Stephenie Meyer's 36th birthday! Two days ago, sorry for being late, was Jackson Rathbone's 24th birthday, and tomorrow is Christmas! Wow, we're just having birthdays left and right now, aren't we? (I saw Avatar today and the main character, Jake Sully, had his birthday as well.) Well, if you're wondering how I'm getting all of this wonderful information then you're in luck! I have a super top secret (not) website full with accurate information on our most loved stars/vampires. The link follows this post. It's one of the "official" (I think) websites for each movie, up until a few months ago it was all about New Moon, and now, the site is all about Eclipse. The countdown/ new gadget is actually from this site. It offers a few accurate apps to post almost any where you want on the web, as well as tributes to fans and their creative sides. They have links to other fan sites and they also post fan made trailers and posters.

I'm off to celebrate the rest of Christmas Eve with my family. Happy Holidays! --Lell

Cool People Continued

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

As I'm rewatching SNL from last night I remembered some very serious details from the biology skit that needed to be pointed out. Planaria, the same subject in the movie, not the book, that Edward and Bella were studying, was on the board, Taylor was wearing a skirt and lip gloss, and that chocolate raspberry is a great flavor. (How do these actors stay still for so long?) I also agree to a certain extent that Bella's a little bit of a "whiny-do-nothing" (not Kristen) and that she doesn't deserve either of them, I do! (Not really though.)

For those reasons I nominate the writers of SNL for a Cool People Award presented by My Vampire Venom. (AHHHH! The crowd goes wild for SNL!) I thank all who support this decision!

Ok, I'm out. But before I sign off I would also like to nominate the director of the new Star Trek movie for the director of Breaking Dawn. That's my choice.

Cool People Where You Least Expect Them

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Tonight on SNL, Taylor Lautner hosts! Finally, I was about to write MSNBC a letter about why they haven't had a Twilight star on yet to host! (True, ask my friends.)

It's been a while since my last post and I apologize for that. I go by Stephenie's beliefs, where you have to be in that writing state of mind and all. So, I've had recent chat *Cough, Cough* (email) with a very famous author. (I let you sweat this one out for a while before I tell you!)

Next week we have exams/mid terms. For reasons unknown (get it, For Reasons Unknown by The Killers!), well any way, my teachers have been absent for periodical days out of the week, and that's not cool for me. The upside of this was that I met a really awesome substitute teacher in English class. She is a Killers fan as well as a Twilight fan to my surprise. And that special author I was talking about, did you figure out his name yet? Well, he's a fan of both also!

His name is Chris D'Lacey and he writes children to teen books about dragons, football (soccer), global warming, and polar bears. I'll attach a link to his website and his blog. Actually, now that I think about it, his blog is what inspired me to make my blog! So, he went to go see New Moon with his wife (and the dragons, Chris will get this part) and he relatively liked the movie. I think, and I might be mistaken, but his wife has read the books, and although they are fans, Mr. D'Lacey isn't as in love with Edward and Bella as the rest of the world. Hrrr to Zookie (Gadzooks), Grettle, and David (I haven't read Dark Fire yet, but I know he's out there) and have a happy holiday season.

Seeing Stars

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Now it might be crazy, but the other night was the first time I've ever had a dream about anything to do with my little escape called Twilight. You'd think that being myself, an obsessed Twilighter, that this wouldn't be so bazaar. Wrong. I was freaked out! I'm not going to go into details so you can forget that.

Stephenie Meyer has worked her series of engrossing, unfathomably beautiful, vampire books into our subconscious! It is in no way a bad experience; It makes you think. We are so enveloped in a make believe place with fantastic characters: it's just how we escape into another person's world for a while. I get a warm feeling inside when I hear about anything even slightly related to Mrs. Meyer's fantasy world. It seems that all of the actors from the Twilght cast are popping up on talk shows every where! Watching the cast on Jimmy Kimmel was like wow. They keep me in a daze, and my parents literally have to pry the remote out of my hand if they had the not-so-clever idea of changing the channel when I'm in a Twi-Trance.

So I'm very thankful for the DVR we've got for all the shows I miss because of school or extracurricular activities. On that note, I'll go and eat some baklava. Good Greek girls deserve good Greek desserts!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. Eat some extra turkey for me because I can't fit any more in my stomach! Keep your family at heart and a good book close by. I'm out for the night; going to see a movie with my family.

Twilight Spottings

(Mine, inspired by the letters on the cover of New Moon)
(My sister's, inspired by a vintage feel)
Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Here it is! Cullen Blvd. My family and I went down to Galveston to do some sight seeing. See, my sister came down for a visit and we wanted her to get a great experience before she went back to Florida. My dad had this crazy idea to pack five people (I was sick at the time) in a small car and drive an hour or so to go eat in a grungy little burger joint and walk the beach in fifty degree weather! Thanks to my wonderful, loving, and totally Twi-obsessed mother, we have this perfect picture of Cullen Blvd! Apparently Exit 44c.

Also, I posted the shirts my sister and I made for the premiere of New Moon. Mine starts with ...The Twilight Saga... and my sister's is just New Moon in curvy letters. If you look closely you'll see our hidden Team Edward logo! I know, they're totally awesome, but not for sale! Just fan made.
On that note, New Moon made $274.9 mill. world wide in the box office this week end, and $142.9 mill. in the US alone I believe. Ok, I just heard All These Things That I've Done by The Killers for a National Geographic commercial. How ironic, go figure!
That's it for today, have a great Sunday, and keep on reading. --Lell

New Moon Premire Pains

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Yesterday morning at 12:05 am, I went to see New Moon! My sister and I got to the theatre at 7:30pm and camped out in the 12:15am line for the 3rd screening of New Moon. I know what you're thinking, 12:15, I thought you went to the 12:05 one! Well, I'm getting to that. So any way, we were in line till about 9:00pm when this lady came up to us and asked if we would want to swap tickets with her because she bought two of the same tickets and one for a different showing and didn't want her family to be split apart. So being the nice and naive people we were, said sure, why not? So we switch spots, we were like, thirty people from the door for the 12:15 screening and inside the theatre. When we get to the other spot for the 12:05 screening we end up, like, 60th in line and outside in the cold!

My sister got really mad, like she was almost-turning-red mad, went up to the manager and said something like, my sister is sick and we're out side in the cold. Some lady conned us out of good spots in line and I don't want to start a fight! Is there anything you can do?, So I guess the manager got scared and didn't want a fight to break out, so he let us up closer in line to about the same spots we were before the switch. I felt mush better!

Ok, now time for the movie review. New Moon was really fantastic! I liked it very much even though I didn't appreciated that book in the saga as much as the rest. The action was great and the lovey parts were oh so cute! I cried once after Edward left Bella. I was torn apart! The CGI was great, but I thought the wolves looked a little thick around the mid section. As you all know, I'm a die hard Team Edward fan. That goes the same for my sis, she hasn't read the books yet. But, as hard as it is to admit, my sister and I, for like a split second, were rutting for Jacob.

What upset me the most was that A White Demon Love Song by The Killers was not in the movie! And if it was, I didn't catch it! I was singing along with all the other songs from the soundtrack except for that one! How disappointing.

Got to go,
Lell -xoxo- hope you enjoy the movie.

(Misc. Writing) With Old Age Comes...

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/vampires/index.html There are some great vids. from E online about the actors. This is the link.
Listening to Regina Spektor right now, Eet.

As the days go by we all get older. It's just a fact of life no body can avoid (except maybe the Cullens and the pack), so why even try? For children this is one of the best parts of life, getting older. For adults, it's the worst part of life, wrinkles and grays and all. I have no idea why! From a teen's point of view, with a greater age comes greater responsibilities, but more privileges (sorry Spidey, I didn't mean to steal your thunder). If every breath you take kills you, (oxidising cells and all), than no amount of tonic or cream can stop that! That's the beauty of life! You cannot stop what's ment to be.

New Moon is 12 days, 5hrs. away and I'm still as giddy as I was when I bought my tickets. It's just that I think my view on Twilight is getting hazy. I know it's not because it's been a few months since I've read the saga. I don't feel as connected as I used to be to my fantasy world of vampire and werewolves. Hopefully I'll get over my little slump after the 20th: New Moon.

So, after me ranting about all this about how death is inevitable, are you ready to put up that $50 bottle of "Wrinkle Away" or hair dye? Probably not. Remember though, Edward loves girls that don't wear make up! So join the club. The beauty industry is already rich enough with out my help. Don't get me wrong though, I do wear make-up, but only for special occasions.

Tomorrow is my brother's birthday party. We're going to go bowling and lazer tagging and stuff like that with a few close friends.

WHOA! I just saw a VOLVO commercial with Edward in it! There is a site called http://whatdrivesedward.com! Wow, what a sell out. Seriously?!?!?!?

Wow... you think about that one. I'm out. Luv ya. Lell

The New Moon Content Widget Works!!!

Dear Fellow Twilighters, (Nov. 3, 09 at 6:18 pm)

I'm taking down the Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant trailer now since it has been out in theatre's since the 23rd of Oct. If you haven't seen it by now, then you're really missing out. Read the summary I wrote just a few days ago on it and you'll be hooked, although, I didn't do the movie or series any justice.

Just giving you guys a heads up. Lellabella
__________________________________________________________

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

It works!!! I'm soooooooo happy! The trailer is working and there is a whole bunch of cool pics and other clips and info for you to explore on this gadget. Hope you enjoy!!!

And if you haven't noticed, I uploaded a trailer for Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. Don't you think the music sounds like something by the artist Likke Li? They are on the New Moon Soundtrack.

The trailers both start automatically. I can't get the Cirque du Freak to pause, so you'll have to pause the New Moon one and wait for the Cirque to finish.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant- Summary

(Cirque du Freak: The Vampires Assistant, based on a saga by Darren Shan)

Dear Fellow Twilighters,
(Listening to Brains by Voltaire right now; great for Halloween.)

***SPOILER ALERT***
Last night around 8pm-ish I went with my family to see the new movie Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant.

Wow! Where to start? This movie was super awesome and totally worthy of Stephenie's attention. This is sort of a more-fantasy-and-every-thing-goes type of movie. It didn't look fake at all (besides all the creatures and stuff, they could've been real), and if they did use CGI, than you could've fooled me because it looked as real as possible!

Ok, so the main character is this kid named Darren Shan (Chriss Massogila) who is obsessed with spiders, and his best friend is Steve (Josh Hutcherson) who is obsessed with vampires. They are complete opposites: goody-goody and bad boy. They find this flyer for a freak show that's coming to town, so they sneak out and pay them a visit. The last act happens to be a vampire and a deadly spider. Being the obsessed people they are, Darren goes to "borrow" the spider, Madam Octa, and Steve goes to confront Mr. Crepsly (John C. Rielly) , the vampire. Darren hides when Crepsly comes into his dressing room. Then Steve comes in and says that his life is so suckish and he wants to become a vampire.

Now, before we get any further, in this story there are two types of vamps. They follow all the tradition vamp. rules like, you can't go out in the sun, and you need human blood, etc. Actual Vampires (they don't kill their victims, just sedate them), and then the Vampinese (who kill the victims). There used to be this war between them and they made a treaty, but you know how that goes.

So, Steve gets out with his life, barely, and Darren finds a secret passage and gets picked up by Mr. Tiny (Michael Creveris)- Stranger Danger! He's the guy that wants a war to break out between the two groups of blood suckers, and gets a ride home. Darren barley escapes with his life as well.

The next day Darren takes Octa to school and Steve find out. Steve HATES spiders. Octa gets loose and scurries away to find an escape (or tries to at least) when the bell rigs and all the kids come running out of their class to get to their next period. Octa has like five near death encounters. Steve gets a broom and tries to kill her, but Octa bites him and Steve collapses.

So, by this time Steve is in the hospital and is dying. Darren gets up the courage and goes to see Crepsly for and antidote of some kind to save Steve. Crepsly agrees to give Darren the anti venom on one condition; Darren had to become his assistant as half vampire. Darren gives up his life and becomes immortal.
They get to the hospital, Crepsly gives Steve the cure, and then they think up of a way to fake Darren's funeral. After a farewell to his parents, Darren goes to Cirque du Freak and becomes part of the show, working backstage as a erring boy for Crepsly since he can't go out in the sun.
The Vampinese are always trying to turn Darren into one of them, but meanwhile, Steve found out somehow about Darren, and turns bad. Real bad. Vampinese bad in fact. There is a whole fight back at the theatre where the Freaks preform. Steve give an ultimatum to Darren about he can either turn Vampinese or die fighting Steve and the rest of the their Vampinese.
Of course, Darren stays solid 1/2 Vamp. and returns to Cirque du Freak. Oh, and there is this monkey girl (she only has a tail, and that's her monkey-ness) that Darren fall for, and they kiss. Awe! So cute!
The end... for now. Since this is a saga there probably will be more movies out of the books. I personally haven't read them since I only just found out about the movie and am in another series (Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan; I'm on book three, The Titan's Curse) at the moment. I encourage you to go and see for yourself. I gave the movie/book no justice in this summary.
Finally, I give the movie 4 out of 5 fangs just because it was a little dark for me and there was scary images, so it might not be appropriate for younger children (but neither is Twilight so yeah...). I loved this movie and I definitely want to get it when they release it on DVD. I can honestly say it is one of my favorites.

Happy Halloween, and be safe if you go Trick-orTreating tonight.

The Twilight Saga- Wordles

(The Twilight Saga-Wordles by Lell)

Dear Twilighters,
There is this website called wordle.net and it lets you create 'word clouds' like the ones above. Ofcourse, I decided to make afew about the Twilight Saga! I've done afew on The Killers also.

All you do is insert a whole bunch of words seperated by spaces or commas, and it comes out in different colors and fonts. You can edit the colors and the fonts; they don't always look like this. So, there are a few by me in they public gallery under the name Lell if you want to look some of mine up.

More cool online stuff discovered by Lell!

Vitamin String Quartet

(The cover of their The Killers Tribute CD)

(The Vitamin String Quartet)

Dear Fellow Twilighters (and The Killers lovers),

Today is a happy day! My orchestra conductor told us to go onto Youtube and search Vitamin String Quartet and I saw the best thing ever!!! Ok, so this is the job of the quartet; by ear (with no music) find the notes to famous songs. They do tributes to bands like Queen and Pink Floyd and, yes Twilight also. They have Oasis and Red Hot Chili Peppers also.

To get to my point, if you haven't guessed already, is that they did a tribute to The Killers!!!!! I attached the link to their Youtube channel and their website bellow.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

MY New Moon Soundtrack

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I got my New Moon Soundtrack yesterday at the local convenience super store! It was totally worth the wait! The Killers' A White Demon Love Song (number 5 on the album) totally delivered; all the artists did!

I didn't think I would like the song Meet Me On The Equinox by Death Cab For Cutie (1), but I did and I really enjoyed it. Muse's song (7) was spectacular- I Belong To You.

Another one my mom liked was Satellite Heart by Anya Marina (6).

This is a must have for any Twi-hard fan-pire. I give the whole album 5 fangs out of 5! (Now if you do the math, that's two vampires and one toothless vamp.) The only thing I have left to do is get the Twilight Soundtrack!

Happy Twilighting. Enjoy the album!

New Moon Soundtrack

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

For those of you that don't already know, Atlantic Records announced yesterday that "due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand" (http://www.stepheniemeyer.com) they will be releasing the soundtrack to New Moon on October 16th, that is four days earlier than originally planed!

There will be a poster (the booklet) you can unfold that comes with the CD. It's the picture I attached above. I'm two days away from hearing my favorite band's new song, A White Demon Love Song by The Killers!

Oh happy, happy, joy, joy!!!

New Moon Tickets

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I, along with practically half the population, have just purchased my New Moon tickets for a 12:15am screening at my local movie theater! My mom will be going with me while my brother and dad stay home and watch some movies of their own. It's on a Friday (Nov. 20th if you don't know by now) so we'll have to work something out for school.

The only down side to this is that I'm going to be attacked at school tomorrow. I told everyone that the theater doesn't sell tickets until a week in advanced, and that might be true since I did some research. It's probably just a one time thing because the movie is already so big!

Just thought I'd let you know!

Orchestra Pictures

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Tomorrow is the day my orchestra at school takes our group pictures. Ya. How fun right? Well, you might think that dressing up like a penguin wearing a maroon bow tie and cummerbund for half the day (4-5 periods) is dorky, and it is. The up side is that I will not be alone! There will be about 80-90 other people in band and orchestra just like me.

You may be asking yourself, What does this have to do with Twilight?, well, I'm getting to it!

You know how Bella basically hates all the requirements of being a girl what with the make-up and dresses and shoes etc.? I'm sort of like that also. I almost hate going shopping and trying on clothes. Now, I have no problem buying the clothes and just throwing them on for the next day, but trying them on is torture to me.

How does this pertain to orchestra? After all the pictures we change into our school clothes, and don't have to use our instruments that day. Since I play the cello, that gives me no room to wear a dress throughout the school year except for tomorrow.

My friend decided that tomorrow all band geeks and orch. dorks (girls) just simply have to wear a dress. Woop-idy-doo! I sucked up my pride and tried on a few dresses for school tomorrow. I don't know how in the world I'm going to maneuver my way through the hallways and on the tile during lunch, but I'll figure a solution that will cause me the least pain!

I'm very uncoordinated as you've read in some of my previous posts. I also don't like to fuss over my image. Tomorrow will be something to remember for sure!

Oh, and the theme for the biggest dance of the year is masquerade ball, and we're not even aloud to wear masks! That stinks...

Meeting an Author

(Brandon Mull)
(Fablehaven books 1-3) (Fablehaven book 4)
Dear Fellow Twilighters,
Meeting an author is very stressful! Now, I'm not talking about the author, Mrs. Stephenie Meyer, but one of my little brother's favorite authors. Brandon Mull. He is the author of the famed series Fablehaven. I haven't personally read the book, but most of my friends say it's really great! He's working with a producer to see if there will be a movie to the first Fablehaven book.
I encourage you all to pick up a copy from your local library or book store. Now to my point.

My brother loves this author, and he happened to come to his school one of the days my sibling got sick and was out of school. My mom did a little research and found out that he was going to do a book signing the next day at a local new & used book store. We hopped in the car and got there two hours early! He got to meet the author first, and got two of his books signed as I took some pictures.

There was no one there until about thirty minutes till the author was scheduled to come. Believe it or not, but no books caught my eye except for a picture book of kittens and their evil plan to rule the world!
I guess the one thing you can take away from this post is that no matter how big an author might seem to be, if you like them enough you'll get there earlier than you're supposed to and get first in line.

An MSN Article On Kristen Stewart

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I was just curious... How did you find out about this blog? Why is this blog so interesting? I would like to know what you like about this blog so I can make it better! Leave comments please.

On that note, today was a little interesting. I read an article on MSN Parallel Universe, or something like that, and there was a picture of Kristen Stewart there in Bella's wedding dress! For one thing, I thought it was a little too modern and a little too peek-a-boo-ish for me, and that's at the angle the picture was taken. I haven't seen a full photo of the dress so I wouldn't know that much about it.

Back to my main point. The interesting part. Kristen Stewart graduated a week before the graduation scene for Eclipse. She said something like (and this is not a quote) she better understood Bella after each movie she's made so far.

No offense to her acting skills, 'cause she makes a great Bella and all, (I always pictured Bella to be played by some one who looks like Kristen Stewart even though I didn't know who Kristen was), but the actual way she acted, physically, to me was very gawky and a little too edgy for the Bella Swan I envisioned. I always thought Bella would have had a little more personality to her. I'm not a casting director person though, so I guess I wouldn't know...

Go figure. Hope Eclipse comes out great. Oh, and Ms. Stewart has a little potty mouth!

New Moon Movie Inspired Cover

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

The limited edition New Moon cover is here... Woopie! I guess the cover is great and what not, but really? There is already so much publicity with the movie and all, so I guess the only plus would be the "free" poster. It's probably the only way most people can recognise the connection between the movie and the book. I have to admit though, this cover is a lot better than the Twilight movie inspired cover.

This post was especially for the user iloveedward !!! "What's so special about it? The books are exactly the same!" (Health 2)

(You know I love you!!! xP)

Everyone Loves Twilight

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

It never seizes to surprise me at the age group of people that are interested in the Twilight series. Now to be clear, I wasn't always a Twilight fanpire. I know, SHOCKING!!! Well, it actually started with my mom. She started reading the series around the end of '07. she loved it, but it didn't take over her life. After the movie came out, which I was forced to see, I became infatuated with Twilight and every thing to do with it. Over the summer break I finished the series in two weeks. It was record time for me!

The other day I was in my first period class, office aide, and was doing my homework. The ladies at the front desk are around my mom's age, I would think, and sort of like the saga also. Well, I turn around (due to a certain T word), and to my surprise Midnight Sun was the topic!

(To all you fans out there that call yourselves officianatos, but have no clue as to what I'm talking about... Go right now to Stephenie's site and do a little research. She has it posted on the Midnight Sun part of her site. Then slap yourself for being so ignorant! Midnight Sun is the epitome of her writing. THE BEST OF THEM ALL!, and she happens to not be writing at the moment because of an Internet leak...)

Now back to my main point. It doesn't matter what your age is. There are ten year olds out there reading Mrs. Meyer's books, and then there are 50 year olds in the world that have some clue as to what's happening in the teen psyche. Doesn't matter your age, pick up her book (or any for that matter) and read. When you're done, PASS IT ON!

Keep on reading, and may the cool super vamp. power of incredibly strong-ness be with all you wanna-pires! (Ha, new word alert... or not)

Eyes That Follow

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

I finally put up my first poster of New Moon yesterday. The pull out one from a Twist magazine. I know what you're thinking, "WHAT? We have 53 days and 3hrs. left and you choose now to put them up?" Practically a waste right? Well, you might be right, but better late than never!

I actually have this small, teeny-tiny, itsy-bitsy phobia of posters that I can see while I'm changing. Harry Potter's magical world sort of ruined it for me with the portraits that can communicate and watch you all the time! No offense intended, Rowling, I love your work also.

When I'm changing, It kinda freaks me out to think the posters are "watching" me. Sorry Rob & Taylor, but I think I might have to take you guys down, or move you where I can't see you all the time! (That goes for Kristen too.)

Just thought you might want to know my little quirks.
GO NEW MOON! WOOO!

A Bella Inspired Injury

Dear Fellow Twilighters, (Please do not try at home if you do not have practice with gymnastics)

Yesterday I had a very, Bella-esque, conundrum. I hit my head. On the floor. It's tile.

I was in health class, how ironic, and our group was putting on this little skit for the bones in your body and how to keep them healthy. I am very flexible, thanks to my few years of ballet, but not very graceful, and extremal hazardous when it comes to hand eye coordination. Very clumsy, certainly.... I am very able to do a back bend, though.

My part of the role was that scoliosis screenings are important to your spine and blahblahblah.... Well, my friend was like, "Oh cool! that would be great if you could do a back bend!", and of course, being the people pleaser I can be at times, decided it would be awesome.

The first attempt, prior to the play, was less harsh on my body since I landed on my knees. Many bruises ensued. Our group went up and did our thing. I was really bumbed though, because I knew I could do a back bend! So I told them I simply would try again before the class period ended.

I wasn't thinking, and certainly filled with personal rage from not completing the task, that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings. Tile is not my best friend. I was half way through with my stunt, one hand on the floor, and one clinging to the counter. I decided I was stable enough to release my hand, so I did. That's were I went wrong. My hand slipped on the tile and my head made contact with the floor. THUD.

It didn't really hurt, and I have had worse, but my head was starting to sting. No blood, good. It didn't feel cracked, but it was warm for some odd reason. I went to the nurse after a few people, self proclaimed inspectors of my head, said I should go to get ice. I did begrudgingly. For my whole 45 minute science period I had an ice pack basically glued to my head.

I'm not seeing double and I can remember my name, and address, so I guess I'm good. The moral of the story here kids is to always pay attention to your surroundings (and when some one tells you to get ice, they probably know best). No matter what.

Happy Twilighting!

My Own Personal Forks

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

Today was not a typical day for Texas. It felt like I was in Forks with all the rain that's been falling lately. Most people today were late and drenched coming to school this morning. (I know this since my first period is office aid.) I was just waiting for people to ask me if I was enjoying the weather; I used to live in Florida. People were screaming all day about things like "I just know we're gonna have a hurricane!" and "They should have closed the school today!" I felt bad for the kids that had to ride the bus. Standing at the stop and getting soaked waiting for their transportation to arrive. Personally, I'm a car rider, so I lucked out. I was probably the driest of them all! Today was definitely a day for vamps to roam around. Nice, cloudy, and thunderous- perfect for some baseball.

Update on Twi-Flections

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

OK, so today went better than I planned. No weirdly close Twilight encounters, but I didn't crush the guy who asked me to the dance. It was actually that I had it all wrong.

He wanted to ask me to the dance on Friday, the Back to School dance, and NOT the 8th grade dance. As it turns out, I wasn't going to that one any way.

Twi-Flections

Dear Fellow Twilighters,

This is a new daily-weekly post I'll be doing for all those crazy times in your life when you stop and think, "Hey, that was totally how it happened in the book, only, it's me instead of Bella!". In today's case I didn't have time to stop and think, instead I ran and then took an almost face-plant.

Remember that seen in Twilight, when Edward is in his stupid shiny Volvo and backs up so Bella is blocked in and can't leave the parking spot, so Tyler Crowley gets up the nerve to ask her to the girl's choice dance, but when she says no he says "We still have prom"? Well
, that sort of happened to me today, me being Bella and the guy who asked my out being Tyler, but with the 8th grade dance our school is having, like, in MAY for crying out loud!

Maybe first I should explain that this guy isn't my Edward, but more like a really talkative Mike Newton mixed with Eric, but we're not that close. He's a little bit of a know-it-all, but not really because I already know the stuff he's trying to tell me. (I've been in gifted classes since kindergarten, before I moved.) It was just after 9th period (the last period of the day) and the guy who sits next to me in history calls my name, we're in a crowded hallway here, and I'm about to miss my bus. So, I turn around and go "What?" (that's actually really hard to do considering we were in the middle of our history teacher's doorway, and everyone is trying to rush out at the same time.) He goes, "Do you want to go to the dance with me?" and my heart and breathing froze for like 15 seconds! Then it sped up to over drive and I couldn't really feel or know what my face looked like.

My face got all red and my ears started to bun. After about a quick second of registering my shocked expression, his face sort of got a little bit pale. I realised then that I just had to say something. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but didn't want to go to the biggest dance of the year with him either. I actually thought he was talking about the back to school bash we were having on Friday so I asked" Which one?" And of course, to my greatest fear, he replied "The 8th grade dance,". I stuttered "M-m-maybe, I have t-t-to think about it," and quickly and clumsily turned around and tripped on some kid digging into his locker. I was about 6 inches away from the ground when I caught my self.

I stumbled into one of my friends and relaid the not so pleasant news. She looked at me with wide eyes and an open mouth and simply said, "Well?". My hand was over my mouth and she couldn't she the shocked expression I was wearing so she thought I was smiling. I shook my head no and stumbled away to my locker.

I'm in a bit of a pickle here. Have you ever been in this kind of situation? I want to let him down easy by saying something like, "That dance is a long ways away. I'm not going to think about it 'till the last minute.", but then he'll think that means I'll tell you later. I also have to face him in 3 of my periods every day and in each we sit pretty close together. I have to tell him tomorrow or he'll think I'm debating yes, but I'm not. I want to say no. How do I do it?

Feel free to leave any comments and I mean any. Thank you.

Welcome!

Dear Fellow bloggers,

Welcome to My Vampire Venom! I'm so syked about the whole blog thing! This is my first ever blog and I intend to make it one of the best you've ever read!

To start off, I'll tell you about why I started this blog. I'm a super reader and love all things Twilight. One night I had this crazy feeling to start a page were all you Twi-Hard fans can get a glimpse of my perspective. Thus, I created My Vampire Venom. Twilight things aren't the only things I'm going to post. I have a diverse taste so you'll get to know about other authors and A LOT about music.

I'm a very opinionated person which I guess is good for this! This blog will let you in on all things related to the Twilight books. (Well, what I've read anyway.) I don't have any connections to Stephenie Meyer (yet) so if your looking for that, go google it.

The next thing I would have to say would be that I appreciate comments and criticism. You are entitled to your opinion as long as it isn't offensive or crude. I'll be updating my blog regularly (like, once a day to once a week or so) so check back for that.

Again, Thank you so much for coming and visiting my page! I have so much more to add to the blog so check back for more!
